2011 Winners Announced!

The American Design Awards has just published the list of winners for it's 2011 Winter Semi Annual Design Contest; 55 Winners have been selected from among 1500+ entries. Congratulations to all the participants
This year, a handful of veterans and nationally-recognized firms walked away with the majority of the awards, leaving a few newcomers and smaller studios to compete for the remaining accolades.
"We are not sure whether design standards are getting higher, or designers are just pushing the envelope more and more" said Kevin Javid of the American Design Awards - "There were so many impressive design entries, that our judges were actually complaining about how stressful it is to leave so many great designs out of the second round."
Another surprising statistic was the surging number of entries from Europe. "40% of entries came from European countries such as Portugal, England, France, Italy, and Spain - almost double of what we usually experience." said Stacy Cohen, American Design Awards' event manager.
Winners will soon be formally informed of their accolades, with certificates mailed out within the next few weeks. For more information on the winners, please click here.
